Secure Vault — On-Device Only

Your Secure Vault (passwords and private notes) uses hardware-backed encryption (Keychain on iOS, Keystore on Android) and never leaves your device. This data is not sent to any server or AI provider.

Ghost Mode — The Kill-Switch

When Ghost Mode is activated from the Home screen, LifeOS immediately:

Suspends all memory logging to the database
Disconnects the audio capture pipeline

Ghost Mode is a full hardware-level disconnect — not just a software flag.

AI Data Processing

To power voice commands, AI chat, and proactive suggestions, LifeOS sends the following data to third-party AI providers:

Voice recordings (sent to OpenAI for transcription)
Text transcripts and conversation context
Your current location (when available, for contextual suggestions)
Today's calendar events and pending tasks

Background Features

Voice Assistant

LifeOS is a dedicated voice assistant that listens for your commands, similar to Siri or Alexa. Microphone access is required for hands-free voice interaction. You can pause listening at any time using Ghost Mode or by disabling "Always-On" in the Voice tab.

Location-Aware Suggestions

When you ask for directions or nearby places, LifeOS uses your current location to provide accurate navigation and location-aware AI suggestions. Location is only accessed while you are actively using the app and is never tracked in the background. You can disable location access in your device settings at any time.
